.Doolittle- the pixiesWhere do i begin? This album is incredible. Every single song is as good as the last. It also features some of the pixie’s best songs such as: debaser, here comes your man and monkey gone to heaven. This is one of the first records I have ever bought and oh was it worth it. The best thing in my opinion about this album is it's listenability. There is no need to skip tracks with this album. As i said before, each song is as good as the last.

.Ok Computer- Radiohead ‘Ok Computer’ is a musical masterpiece. ‘Radiohead’ somehow managed to follow their last album ‘the Bends’ with a completely different style which is very hard to do. ‘Radiohead’ veered away from their classic guitar style, instead opting for a more electronic new age style. Thom‘s voice features very prominently in this album helping to create the eerie atmosphere. The best songs on the album have to be: paranoid android android, no surprises, karma police and electioneering.
.Funeral- Arcade Fire‘Arcade Fire’ are great for using a wide variety of different instruments and that can be seen in Funeral. For example the use of a kettle in the track ‘kettles’ and the use of a glockenspiel in the song ‘power out’. Like ‘Doolittle’, Funeral is very listenable and all of the songs are great.
.The rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust and the spiders of Mars- David BowieThis David Bowie album has some of my favourite songs on it. It has starman, suffragette city, rock and roll suicide and moonage daydream which are all incredible. Bowie’s incredible voice really shines in this album and it is all really catchy. It really is a must hear.
5. Dark Side of The Moon - Pink Floyd This album is so unique.I have never heard anything like it. It's incredibly interesting to listen to thanks to its ingenious instrumentation. It features instruments such as a cash register and alarm clocks. If that isn't unique then I don't know what is.
.Highway 61 revisited- Bob Dylan You gotta love a bit of Dylan.
.Whatever people say I am that's what I'm not- Arctic Monkeys This album was my first introduction to rock music and I love it. It's fast tempo and catchy riffs make it great to listen to. This album won a mercury prize and for a good reason…. it's amazing!!!
.Plastic beach- Gorillaz listen to this album very regularly and I LOVE it. It's so easy to listen to and once you know the lyrics it's very difficult not to sing along. My favourites have to be: melancholy hill, some kind of nature, superfast jellyfish(great name by the way) and pirate jet. Plastic Beach follows on with the gorillaz’s signature style and features lots of different artists such as Lou Reed and Snoop Dogg.
.Is this it- The strokes This album has such a unique sound thanks to lead singer Julian Casablancas’s unique vocals. Their guitar sound is also great and each song has both a great chord progression and a highly distinctive riff which is very hard to do. My favourite songs from this album are: New York city cops, someday, last nite and take it or leave it.

.Legend- Bob MarleyI know this album the best and it is so good that I had to include it on this list. Listening to it just makes you feel relaxed and sleepy. It defined reggae so when someone says reggae you think Marley. If you're stressed just listen to this and you will be calm again. My favourite songs off it are: three little birds, stir it up, I shot the sheriff and jamming.
