Wow Burger
On a Saturday evening in the city centre the three of us went to Wow Burger restaurant. It’s located on Wicklow Street opposite the side entrance to Brown Thomas on Grafton Street. It can be hard to locate as it has a very small entrance door but it has an illuminated sign just outside the restaurant which would catch your attention easily. The restaurant is located inside Mary’s Bar so you have to go down a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant. The atmosphere was lively and the bar was full of young people.
When you go down the flight of stairs you can see the change from bar to restaurant. The youthful theme continued as you enteredthe restaurant as it was full of teenagers and young adults eating burgers and drinking their milkshakes. |
Food is ordered at a till which is also a part of a bar downstairs so people can order drinks as well. The burgers came with a wide variety of toppings that you could choose from, which wouldn’t add to the price of less than €7. The menu doesn’t have a huge variety which could be a negatie feature to people who are more picky when it comes to food but personally we found it easier to order as there wasn't that much to pick from.
All the burgers are cooked the same way but not over or undercooked. Ours were very juicy and full of flavour. They were served on a brioche bun which was sweet and light so it didn’t overpower the burger making its consistency balanced. There were three types of fries you could choose from: chili fries, normal fries and garlic butter fries. The garlic butter fries and the normal fries were €2.95 and the chilli fries were €3.95. The fries were crispy and flavorsome and were a perfect portion size to have with the burger which didn’t overfill you.
