Star Wars the Force Awakens
Sean Murphy,
Star Wars the Force Awakens is the beginning of a new trilogy, the movie came out on the 18 of December 2015, and was directed by JJ Abrams and was also written by JJ Abrams.
The movie had a budget of 245 million euro and made almost one billion dollars. The movie is set 30 years after the last Star Wars movie which was “Return of the Jedi ” and is probably one of my favorites so far.
What happens in the first part of the movie:
Rey played by Daisy Ridley and Finn played by John Boyega are the two main characters who we see throughout the whole movie. The movie starts off with the First Order (the main enemy ) raiding a village that is said to have information that will lead to what is thought to be the last jedi. When they don't find the information they are looking for they take one of the rebels who was in the village as a prisoner. His name is Poe Dameron . The First Order brings him back to one of their ships, but then an unlikely ally helps him escape the Star Destroyer. Some of the biggest actors in the movie would be Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher.Carrie Fisher who plays Princess Leia, who is now the leader of the rebel alliance. Harrison Ford plays Han Solo who is a space pirate but helps Finn and Rey get a message to the rebel alliance - and we also find out that Han was once part of the rebel alliance.
My favorite part
My favorite part of the movie was when Han Solo, Rey and Finn arrive at Maz’s Castle - this is like a bar. However not long after they arrive, the First Order show up looking for them, and they are captured and just as hope seems lost the rebellion shows up and saves them. I liked this scene because of all the action in it .
My thoughts on the movie
The movie is very good and has some great action scenes in it. The movie is also very like “Star Wars a New Hope ” in the sense that the rebels must take out a giant space station that could destroy the galaxy before it is too late.
I would give the movie a 9 out of 10. Also 92% of people said they liked it on Rotten Tomatoes
