luxembourg

In August of this year I went with 30 people from my scout troupe to Luxembourg. We flew into Luxembourg by Lux air, the plane very small with as it only two seats on both sides of the aisle. Despite this I found it a very smooth flight and it took just over two hours. I then got a bus to where I was staying.
Accommodation
We stayed in “Greng Scouten A Guiden” in the village of Dudelange. There were two houses on the site. Our house consisted of two dorms, dining room, kitchen and two spare rooms. On site there was a large field, courtyard, forest and a campfire area. I really enjoyed staying here as I felt it was a big site and had lots of room to do group activities.
Transport
When I was in Luxembourg we used trains to get to most locations. Luxembourg has a great rail system with trains coming very regularly. The train was also fairly cheap with a ticket valid for two hours costing £2 and a ticket valid for the whole day only costing £4.
Luxembourg City
In Luxembourg city I went to Bock Casements, this is a tunnel system with cannons. It’s free entry and I'd highly recommend it. There is also the world's tallest lookout tower in Luxembourg, it offers a fantastic few of the whole city. It's worth while going up although it costs £7 per person so I wouldn't recommend it for a family. There is also the National Library of Luxembourg which is very big and has good architecture, I would recommend going in to see it.
Attractions
In Dudelange there is an outdoor swimming pool, it costs £3 for entry. Inside there are two diving boards one is three meters and the other is one meter, a slide and a shop to buy food. There is also a high wire course called Parc Le’h Adventures, it costs £15 for a teenager and £17 for an adult to do it for one hour. I really enjoyed doing it and I would highly recommend it if you’re into anything outdoors. We also went to a theme park called Wallygator in France, it costs £25 for the whole day with all rides included. The theme park consists of seven thrill rides, fourteen family friendly rides, five water rides and twelve infant rides. There was very little queues so I ended up going on everything multiple times because I found there wasn't enough thrill seeking rides, I would still recommend it though.
