MOUNT TEMPLE ASPIRE TRIP
Ronan Nolan,
Mount Temple decided to go on a trip to Offaly (Clara) Aspire for our rugby trip. We went for the weekend. There was 30 people who went on this trip and they split us into groups of 3 for our rooms. When we got there we straight away threw our bags into our room and went outside to start the activities. We didn't miss one minute without doing anything. We started with a gym session. Then a training session for rugby and other activities. At about 10 o'clock we all took part in a table quiz and after that we went to bed.
The next morning we got up at 7:00 in the morning and started off with a gym session then breakfast. The interesting activities happened when we did a 5 kilometer run/obstacle course through trenches and obstacles. We then built a raft to hold ten of us to go down the river. We were full of muck, dirt and poo and we were soaked. Straight after we got lunch and ate it quick because we had to be out in a certain time because after lunch we had fun, games and training. At the end of the night we were doing challenges we had to drink 2 litres of milk as fast as we could. They split us into groups of four.
I drank the milk for my group and i did it the 2nd fastest without vomiting but of course after it we all got sick in the grass. After that they were making us eat weird foods together, for example raw potatoes for how our behaviour had been on the trip. Of course I got five potatoes and threw three of them out the window when they were not looking and quickly ran to bed feeling sick but again we were back up at 7:00 in the morning in the gym and after that we had a few more activities before we had to leave. One of the activities was walking blindfolded while holding each other's hands through a forest and we got all our feet stuck in the mud. Some lost their shoes and while all this was happening our coaches were squirting us with water and shouting you're going to fall into the river.
Then we all had a shower and packed all our clothes away and cleaned our rooms and the main kitchen leaving the place nice and we said goodbye to the people and thanked them. Then we hopped on the bus and drove back to Dublin. It was a great trip and we will hopefully go on it next year again.
